Have you ever wanted to visit New Zealand, the home of the film site of Lord of the Rings and the upcoming The Hobbit? If so, you might want to consider booking your trip for late November 2012.

According to Stuff.co.nz, the first of the two Hobbit movies, The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, will get a world premiere in Wellington sometime in late November—at least two weeks before it it opens to theaters worldwide on Dec. 14.

Even if you can't get a ticket for the premiere, you're still in luck:

The set will include 44 Hobbit holes, a stone bridge, and a local hostelry called The Green Dragon.

The attraction will be run by Shire Tours.

So why Wellington and not the more populous Auckland? Wellington isn't just the capital of New Zealand, it's also the home of Weta Digital, director Peter Jackson's special effects company. Stuff.co.nz writes that the crew of An Unexpected Journey were filming at the Weta Digital studio for 110 days. (Currently, the crew is working in Matamata.)

And as for the people who happen to live in New Zealand, we're jealous. Your country is frequently mentioned on lists of world's best places to live. And now you'll have Hobbiton. Congratulations, New Zealand. You win.
